A regional intersectoral industrial fair was held in Jizzakh

On March 16-17, 2023, a regional intersectoral industrial fair was held in the building of the Olympic Reserves College in the city of Jizzakh, organized by the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Khokimiyat of the Jizzakh region and the Center for Digital Transformation.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Galina Saidova, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Olimkhon Rustamov, heads of industrial and financial companies, entrepreneurs, businessmen and representatives of the media.

It should be noted that the main purpose of holding regional intersectoral industrial fairs is to establish cooperative ties for the supply of import-substituting products to large enterprises by local small and private businesses.

In particular, 1,555 enterprises took part in the last fair, including 100 industrial and 1,455 regional manufacturing enterprises, where products from the construction materials, automotive, electrical engineering, light industry and pharmaceuticals industries were presented. At the same time, manufacturers of furniture and food products also presented their products at the event.

Within the framework of the fair, 605 cooperation agreements totaling 292.1 billion soums were concluded through the Electronic Cooperation Portal of the Center for Digital Transformation, of which 454 contracts for 198 billion soums by industry enterprises for the purchase of products and 452 contracts for 175.9 billion soums by regional enterprises for the supply of products.

Also, 4 memoranda for 676.6 million soums were signed between small and medium-sized businesses wishing to produce import-substituting products.

During the fair, the specialists of the Center for Digital Transformation held thematic presentations.

In addition, the participants and guests were invited to visit industrial enterprises located in the free economic zone "Jizzakh", LLC "Ming Yuan Silu Industry" (decorative glass) and "Iruskon" (confectionery), as well as the Sharof Rashidov House-Museum in Jizzakh.
