On November 14-18, 2022, the Republican Inter-Sector Industrial Fair was held at the center of National Exhibitions “Özekspomarkaz”, organized by the Ministry of investment and foreign trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, The Tashkent City Hall and the Digital Transformation Center.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Minister of investments and foreign trade Jamshid Khodjayev, Mayor of Tashkent Jahongir Afterkhojayev, heads of industry and finance companies, entrepreneurs and media representatives.

The main focus of the Fair was on the development of cooperative relations in the industry, support of domestic production enterprises, and the formation of a portfolio of orders (contracts and memorandums) to study the types of products produced by domestic production enterprises, including small businesses and private business entities, to establish industrial cooperation in the future and expand the scope of work.

During the event, it was also aimed to reach agreements between large industries and local enterprises for the localization of new types of products on the basis of industrial cooperation, as well as to attract local producers to the state procurement of budgetary organizations.

5,711 business entities of the Republic took part in the Republican inter-sectoral industry fair, 944 industrial enterprises demonstrated 9,350 types of products at their stands.

Within the framework of the event, 3,305 cooperation agreements with a total of 3.03 trillion soums were concluded through the Electronic cooperative portal of the Digital Transformation Center, and 207 memoranda of 1.1 trillion soums were signed between small and medium-sized businesses that expressed a desire to produce import substitutes.

In the framework of the Fair, on the basis of a new approach to “shatakka” private enterprises through methodological, technical and technological assistance in the development of products, 8 network enterprises have negotiated with 164 local entrepreneurs on many products.

At the same time, in order to increase local content and reduce the import of goods and services in the implementation of investment projects, 98 types of goods and services (metal structures, transformers, pumps, air conditioners, ventilation systems, cable products, stations, pipes, etc.) with a total cost of almost 400 billion rubles were identified by the initiator of 10 investment projects.

During the Fair Days, 16 Sectors held tshz presentations on the possibilities of deepening localization and expanding industrial cooperation. Practical assistance was also provided by specialists of the Electronic cooperation portal of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the processes of negotiation and cooperation agreements in the form of B2B and B2G for the development of samples of demonstrated and imported products by business entities.

At the end of the event within the framework of the Republican inter-sectoral industrial fair, the best-attended enterprises were announced by the organizers in 11 nominations, and tashkurnoma and valuable gifts were presented.

In addition, it was noted that the formation of large territorial projects to be carried out under the state investment program of 2023 will also be based on priorities and initiatives that will be identified during this fair.

All these events serve as a free-trade space for the development of cooperative relations not only between large-scale enterprises and regional business entities, but also to provide participants with information about the products produced in the Republic, sign new contracts, plan promising projects in cooperation.
