From December 12 to 15, 2023, the National Exhibition Center "Uzexpocenter" hosted the Republican Intersectoral Industrial Fair, organized by the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the Tashkent city Khokimiyat and the Center for Digital Transformation.

From December 12 to 15, 2023, the National Exhibition Center "Uzexpocenter" hosted the Republican Intersectoral Industrial Fair, organized by the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the Tashkent city Khokimiyat and the Center for Digital Transformation.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev, Deputy Adviser to the President Galina Saidova, senior officials of the ministry and the khokimiyat of Tashkent, employees of the center, as well as heads of industrial and financial companies, entrepreneurs and representatives of the media.

As it was noted during the event, the optimization of import volumes through the production of high-value-added products and the development of cooperative relations between enterprises is of great importance in ensuring sustainable economic growth of the republic.

To this end, the Republican Intersectoral Industrial Fair, which gives impetus to large-scale changes in the industry, was organized this time in a new format.

The fair, located on a total of 15 thousand square meters, was attended by 4627 business entities, of which 763 manufacturing enterprises presented 6181 items of their own production in expositions.

During the fair, special attention was paid to investment project proposals for the localization of imported and import-substituting products, and an increase in the share of "local content" within the framework of new projects.

According to the results of the Republican Intersectoral Industrial Fair, 2,486 contracts worth 5.8 trillion soums were concluded (an increase of 1.8 times compared to 2022).

In addition, 392 memoranda totaling 2.8 trillion soums were signed within the framework of the fair for the development of new products.

It should be noted that such events have a positive impact on the development of industry in our country, the creation of jobs, the deepening of processing of raw materials, the launch of production of new types of products, help small businesses, especially newly established enterprises, to find a market for their products.
