Today, the two-day regional intersectoral industrial fair PROM PRO Expo 2023 and the Industrialists Forum, organized by the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, the Center for Digital Transformation under the Ministry and the regional khokimiyat, started in the Samarkand region.

The event is aimed at expanding cooperation between large enterprises and small and private businesses in the supply of import-substituting products.

The opening ceremony was attended by Galina Saidova, Deputy Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and officials of the khokimiyat of the Samarkand region.

About one and a half thousand enterprises that exhibit their own products in the following areas take part in the fair, which takes place at the Sof Expo Samarkand exhibition center in the Jomboy district:

- The automotive industry
- Building materials
- Leather production
- Furniture manufacturing
- Electrical engineering
- Tourism
- Food industry
- Carpet products

The event will also include 5 panel sessions and 6 thematic presentations. Earlier, similar fairs were held in Jizzakh and Bukhara, and by the end of the year they will be organized throughout the republic.
